Ein warmes Willkommen in der Nacht – A warm welcome in the night

Bei meinem letzten Projekteinsatz in Freiburg wollte ich eigentlich den Wasserspeier am Münster in Freiburg fotografieren, den mir Tobias empfohlen hatte. Leider war es dunkel und das Münster zudem zu grossen Teilen eingerüstet. So habe ich mich zu einem kleinen nächtlichen Spaziergang aufgemacht und das im Schatten des Münsters liegende Hotel Restaurant Rappen vor die Linse genommen. Ein Stativ hatte ich leider nicht dabei und habe die Kamera auf die Tasche gelegt, wodurch eine wunderbar tiefe Aufnahmeposition entsteht, die den Platz mit seinen Lichtreflektionen mit ins Bild einbezieht.
In der Nachbearbeitung habe ich etwas Hand angelegt: In Camera Raw habe ich Klarheit und Schärfe der Pflastersteine verstärkt und den unteren Bildbereich deutlich aufgehellt. In der NikSoftware Viveza habe ich Strukturen verstärkt und in Nik ColorEfex einen BiColor- und einen HighKey-Effekt angewendet und so ein konstastreicheres, farbigeres Ergebnis erzielt gegenüber dem Original (siehe unten).

Originally I wanted to capture a photo of a special gargoyle of the minister of Freiburg that recommended Tobias. Unfortunately it was dark and large parts of the minister beyond a scaffold so that I decided to have a walk around and captured the Hotel Restaurant Rappen which is placed in its shadow. I’d sadly no tripod with me and placed my camera on my bag whereby this wonderful low camera position with the light reflection of the plaster occured.
I did something in the post production:  I increased the lucidity and sharpness of the plater in Camera Raw and made the lower part of the picture lighter. In Nik Software Viveza I reinforced the structures and used the filter effects Bicolor and High key in ColorEfex to get more contrast and a more colourful picture (if you compare with the original below).
